Life is scary, but only if you let it be. You have the choice to look the monster in the eye and laugh at his dimples. You have the choice to find joy beyond darkness. Your cup can overflow, or your cup can be empty. Whatever you decide it to be it will be. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't face your darkness, you should look at your shadow and not be afraid of it. Your shadow will always be there, right next to you, you can never escape it. It is created by the light. No matter how much light you shine on yourself, your shadow will always be there. So you might as well face it and become comfortable with it, because it's not going anywhere. Well it is, but where it is going is exactly the same place as you. So you might as well dance with your shadow, learn to accept it. Let it become part of your beauty, and let your beauty shine. Shining all the brighter because of the darkness it is in contrast with. Then look the monster in the face, and let him know that you're not afraid. You'll find that he feeds on fear, and becomes weaker when you stop giving him power. Love yourself, stand in your strength. Use your strength and energy to propel yourself forward. Soon you'll find that you can fly. Then you can look down at the monster and see that you're flying higher than he ever will be.
